About Natural Nest

Natural Nest Play Cafe is an innovative place for parents to take their young children to explore a fun and exciting play area. Parents can relax or interact with other caregivers in a café lounge and seating area while enjoying organic beverages, and snacks. This unique hybrid creates an unequaled sense of community among  families. Natural Nest also offers classes unlike any in the area including developmental, educational and for fun.

There will be an area for parent and child classes, age appropriate playdates, yoga classes. Membership will be on a monthly basis with drop in rates available also. There will also be developmental classes for children, and educational classes for parents to help all Delawareans thrive. These include but are not limited to breast feeding support, aromatherapy, baby massage and other experts to help parents succeed at the hardest job to come with no handbook.

About our Co-Owner - Meet Ashley Rice

I'm a former TV Reporter turned homeschooling mom turned Co-founder (along with my husband Jacob) of The Nest DE. 

It’s important to me to create a safe, fun environment for children to play, grow, and interact. I also want to provide parents with a space they can view as their own where the toys are safe and they don't have to fear toxins in food & drinks. While mainstream coffeehouses allow children, I have found that most traditional patrons are looking for a quiet place to work and have little patience or acceptance for small children and the messes and noises they bring.

I’m aiming to create an environment of acceptance, compassion, and warmth I will do whatever is required to make each patron comfortable, whether it be nursing supplies in a designated space, diapers in the bathroom or organic snack choices for those expecting exceptional ingredients. The retail area will also offer "Nest Approved" gift ideas, organic clothing, and more for those desiring to become more holistic in their own lives.
